Mariner to Publish Debut Book by Christopher Steele
On October 8, Mariner Books will publish Unredacted: Russia, Trump, and the Fight for Democracy, the debut book by Christopher Steele, the intelligence officer behind the 2017 "Steele Dossier," which alleged cooperation between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the government of Russia.
According to Mariner, Steele "offers a clear-eyed assessment of the credibility and sources involved in the Dossier" in Unredacted, detailing his "privileged view of what's going on inside the Kremlin, and how much we in the West should worry about it."
Steele is a British diplomat, intelligence professional, and Soviet/Russia expert who began his career in 1987. He served in Moscow through the fall of the Soviet Union, and later Paris, before returning to London to become a political and intelligence expert and advisor to the British government on Russia and the former Soviet Union. In 2009, he founded the private intelligence company Orbis Business Intelligence.
