Langley to Retire from Penguin
After nearly 45 years in publishing, Flo Langley is retiring from her role as v-p, customer service at Penguin Random House next April.
Langley has spent her entire career with PRH, beginning in 1971. Over the years, she has worked for Dell magazines, Bantam Doubleday Dell, Random House, Inc., Penguin Random House, and every iteration of the company.
"Flo is embedded into the fabric of our business, our culture, and indeed into the DNA of our company, past and present," Annette Danek, senior v-p, director, fullfillment at Penguin, wrote in a memo to staff. "With her equal devotion to both big-scale planning, as well as to the everyday details of our business, she has been a bellwether and beacon for our sales and operations teams."
