MahoganyBooks Expands Podcast Network
MahoganyBooks, the Black-owned bookstore cofounded by Derrick and Ramunda Young with locations in Washington D.C., and National Harbor, Md., is adding more podcasts to its MahoganyBooks Podcast Network, which launched in January.
Starting September 24, the Black & Published podcast, hosted by Emmy Award–winning producer and author Nikesha Elise Williams, will join the network. On the podcast, Black writers will offer a candid look at their challenges, triumphs, and experiences in a publishing world that often overlooks their voices, per a release.
The next original podcast to join the network is Readers of Black Genius, set to debut in October.
The MahoganyBooks Podcast Network is already home to Real Ballers Read, which encourages young people to embrace the joy of reading. In addition to new podcasts, the network includes recasts of live author events hosted by MahoganyBooks.
