BPL Prize Winners Announced

The Brooklyn Public Library has announced the winners of the 2024 BPL Book Prize, which is selected by librarians and library staff to recognize "writing that captures the spirit of Brooklyn." 

The year's fiction winner is Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar. The nonfiction winner is Black Folk: The Roots of the Black Working Class by Blair L.M. Kelley.
