Created by Humans Partners with the Authors Guild
Created by Humans, the AI rights licensing platform launched by Scribd cofounder Trip Adler earlier this year, has officially partnered with the Authors Guild, which will promote the platform to its more than 14,000 members. Authors Guild CEO Mary Rasenberger will also join the Created by Humans advisory board.
“Generative AI is here to stay, but it is far from clear that the books LLMs have been trained on can be purged, and certainly not easily," said Rasenberger in a statment. "We urgently need to give control back to authors and their publishers, and licensing is the means to accomplish that going forward. Created by Human’s platform provides authors who are interested in engaging with AI platforms a way to do so on their own terms, ensuring they have a say in how their work is used and are fairly compensated for it.”
