IDW Takes Patrick Horvath’s Graphic Novel Debut Back to Print
IDW will take Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, the Eisner Award–nominated debut graphic novel from writer Patrick Horvath and illustrated by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, back to print. The surprise hit has sold through its first printing of 20,000 copies, per the publisher. The announced second printing is 15,000 copies. A sequel, Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring, is forthcoming from IDW’s new horror imprint, IDW Dark, with more details to be announced in the coming months.
“I'm blown away that this book hit the ground running and is already going out for a second printing. I can't thank the people enough that have helped to support and spread the word about this book,” Horvath said, in a statement. “Readers, retailers, critics, podcasters, enthusiasts, all of you: thank you so much for all of the love you've given our book. And again, a huge thank you to IDW for taking a chance on a creator with virtually no track record. I really feel like I've found a home in comics, and I'm extremely grateful.”
