Ilana Gold Joins Authors Equity as Head of Publicity

Ilana Gold has joined Authors Equity as head of publicity. Gold comes to Authors Equity from Workman Publishing, where she served as director of publicity and marketing. Prior to Workman, she was at the PR and marketing firm Hilsinger-Mendelson and held publicity roles at Atlantic Records.

Gold is the most recent major hire to be announced at Authors Equity, the hybrid publishing startup announced earlier this year and headed up by three big-name industry veterans, as president of sales. Craig Young joined the company in August as president of sales.
