Ingram’s David Taylor to Retire in 2025
David Taylor, SVP of international content acquisition for the Ingram Content Group, will retire in June 2025, after a career that started as a bookseller at Blackwell’s bookshop in Oxford, England, in 1983.
Taylor has been with Ingram since 2003, helping to develop new business strategies beginning with the formation of Lightning Source UK. During his 22 years with the company, Taylor has been a regular at the major international book fairs as part of his effort to expand Ingram’s business outside North America. Today, Ingram’s global network has 25 locations throughout the world.
“Ingram’s growth and respected industry position we enjoy today in the U.K., and globally, would not have been possible without David’s thoughtful, patient, and effective leadership,” said Shawn Morin, CEO of Ingram in a statement. “David has been an important member of our team for over 20 years and he will certainly be missed,” added John Ingram, chairman of Ingram Content Group. “David’s leadership and dedication have been a key component in our global efforts and he leaves us in a great position for the future.”
“It’s been both a privilege and a lot of fun to be able to explain the benefits to publishers and booksellers and to have played a part in Ingram’s journey into a global player,” Taylor said.
With Taylor’s pending departure, Ingram is beginning the search for a VP of international content acquisition.
