Start Publishing In Deal with Accent Press
Start Publishing has completed a three-year licensing deal to publish U.K.- based publisher Accent Press’s titles in e-book and audio under the Accent Press name. Start will handle distribution in the U.S. and Canada.
Frontlist titles, including those of bestselling romance author Alice Raine (including the Untwisted series, and paranormal humorist Jodi Taylor (Chronicles of St. Mary's series), will be published together with Accent Press’s entire back catalogue. The deal includes an agreed to advance for frontlist titles and a six-figure license fee for the backlist and Accent name.
Jarred Weisfeld, president of Start Publishing commented, “We are pleased to add not only the past Accent titles, but approximately 300 front list titles over the next three years.” As part of the deal, Accent Press will have first right of refusal to all Cleis Press, Whiskey Creek Press, and Torrid Books (all Start imprints) frontlist titles for U.K. distribution.
