Chronicle Expands Its Sales Leadership Team
Chronicle Books in San Francisco announced two hires in sales leadership.
Jenny Goodman Abrami has been named Chronicle’s executive director of global sales, overseeing trade, mass market, and specialty sales teams in the U.S. and worldwide. She’ll report to VP of sales Kim Anderson. This appointment marks a return to Chronicle for Abrami, who spent seven years in trade sales with the company before moving to Sasquatch Books. During her 16 years with Sasquatch, she served as VP of sales and strategy and as associate publisher of the Little Bigfoot imprint, overseeing sales strategy for adult and children’s titles.
Amanda Weirich has been hired as director of international sales and subsidiary rights, a new position at Chronicle, reporting to Abrami. Prior to joining Chronicle, Weirich was senior manager of marketing services at Ingram Content Group, where she led global retail marketing strategy for the Ingram Publisher Services distribution brands.
"Chronicle Books is always working to expand our presence at both retail and online environments in all territories," VP of sales Anderson told PW. "Jenny will work with the team to continue to drive new business in particular, further solidifying our ambitious mission to see our books, games, and paper product everywhere at retail, not just in traditional book retailers."
Anderson continued: "Amanda will lead our growing International business, with a focus on building even stronger relationships with existing partners, as well as new ones, with a goal to further expand our toy and game business in key territories through strategic distribution and retailer partnerships."
