Abrams Announces Sales Promotions, Changes
Abrams has announced a series of promotions and changes within its sales department. The job moves, announced by SVP of sales Christine Edwards, are as follows:
- Monica Shah has been appointed VP of sales and sales operations. She will oversee national account and special market sales channels—already part of her purview in her previous role as VP of sales—and lead the company's sales operations related to inventory management, sales budgeting and forecasting, and seasonal readiness, as well as serving as sales liaison with the HBG client publisher operations group.
- Liz Frew has been named director of mass merch retail and children's sales strategy. Previously director of national accounts, Frew will oversee the entire mass merch channel, adding Costco, BJs, and Sam's Clubs to her portfolio of accounts as well as leading go-to-market strategy across the children's frontlist and backlist catalog.
- Kathleen Spinelli has been promoted to senior director of sales for international and distribution client publishers. Kate Folkers, director of distribution client services, now reports to Spinelli.
- Shelby Ozer has been promoted to the newly created role of associate director of online and digital sales and distribution client publishers, with a focus on Amazon physical and e-book sales.
- Jay Salton has been promoted to manager for special markets, overseeing the management of gift commission sales groups.
