Peter Joseph to Lead Fiction at Crown

Peter Joseph will be joining Crown as VP and editorial director of fiction on April 22. In his new role, he will report directly to Amy Einhorn, SVP and publisher of fiction.

Most recently, Joseph served as the founding editorial director of Hanover Square Press, an imprint of HarperCollins. Throughout his career, he has published novels across a number of genres, including Toshikazu Kawaguchi’s Before the Coffee Gets Cold, Madeline Martin’s The Last Bookshop in London, and Steve Hamilton’s The Lock Artist. He has also worked with such nonfiction authors as CNN’s Dana Bash, senator Bernie Sanders, and William Shatner.

Joseph’s appointment comes on the heels of Crown relaunching its fiction program in 2024, representing a “milestone for the fiction program,” according to a press release.
