Poetry & the Creative Mind Lineup Announced

In celebration of National Poetry Month, the annual Poetry & the Creative Mind benefit will take place on April 24, 2025, via a YouTube livestream.

Poetry & the Creative Mind raises funds to support the Academy of American Poets, the founders of National Poetry Month. Over the past twenty years, this annual event has raised more than $3.5 million total for the Academy’s K-12 education program.

This year’s line-up includes international best-selling author Stephen King; Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner; author Fran Lebowitz; and screenwriter, author, and news anchor Lawrence O’Donnell, among others. The event will be hosted by Ada Limón, and will honor Patricia H. Grodd and Terrance Hayes with a 2025 Leadership Award.

Registration is free, with a suggested donation of $60.
