Scott McCloud, Jillian Tamaki to Appear at TCAF 2015
Cartoonists Scott McCloud, Jillian Tamaki, and Lucy Knisley are among the creators that will be appearing at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, better known as TCAF, held May 9-10 at the Toronto Reference Library.
The two-day comics festival is free to attend and is the culmination of a week of events preceding it that include readings, art exhibitions, book launches and more. TCAF is a celebration of the medium of comics in all its forms—with an emphasis on Canadian artists—from graphic novels and bandes dessiness to manga. This year the festival will throw a special celebration for the pioneering Canadian independent publisher Drawn & Quarterly, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The show also features a full slate of programming and panels, including a focus on libraries and education, screenings and much more. Other cartoonist guests scheduled to appear at TCAF include Charles Burns, Chip Zdarksky, Gurihiru and Eleanor Davis. More programming and guest artists will be announced later this month and in March.
