BEA 2016 Reveals Programming Focus
BookExpo America (BEA) revealed its Content & Digital Conference programming with a focus on its new partnership with the American Library Association (ALA).
As part of the Library Insight track, the ALA's national public awareness campaign, Libraries Transform, has joined Overdrive, Inc. in sponsoring ALA@BEA. The sessions will include Readers Advisory coverage, nurturing local writers, and working with marketing teams from the Big Five publishers to help patrons.
BEA 2016's programming also sheds light on one of the strongest areas of the publishing and bookselling industry-- children's publishing. Further, the 2016 conference will look at self-publishing, allowing authors and service providers to explore ways to reach readers, build sales, and establish a social presence with readers.
BEA Content & Digital Conference 2016 will also cover marketing and engagement, ABA education, analytics: tech & mobile, content, and a global market forum with Poland's leading publishers.
BEA 2016 will take place from May 11-12 in Chicago.
