IBPA Executive Director Becomes CEO
The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) signed an extended three-year contract with Angela Bole, who they named to the newly-created role of CEO. Bole has served as the organization's executive director since 2013.
As executive director, Bole has helped the IBPA grow in both revenue and membership while also improving its flagship programs, including Publishing University and the Benjamin Franklin Book Awards.
Before joining the IBPA, Bole worked at the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) as marketing and communications manager, associate director, and finally, executive director.
The IBPA, which includes over 3,000 members, supports independent publishers nationwide through advocacy, education, and tools for success.
