Graphic Novel Finalists for the 2016 L.A. Times Book Prize
Books by Sam Alden, Riad Sattouf and Carol Tyler were among the five titles nominated in the graphic novel category of the 36th annual L.A. Times Book Prizes.
The five graphic novels were among the list of 50 titles published in 2015 that were nominated for this year’s L.A. Times Book Prizes. A complete list of the finalists for this year’s awards is located here.
The winners in all categories will be announced on April 19, 2016 at a ceremony to be held at Bovard Auditorium on the USC campus. Watch for tickets to go on sale soon.

Maggie Thrash, Honor Girl: A Graphic Memoir, published by Candlewick.
Carol Tyler, Soldier's Heart: The Campaign to Understand My WWII Veteran Father: A Daughter's Memoir (You'll Never Know), published by Fantagraphics Books.
