Baroness Rebuck to Receive LBF Lifetime Achievement Award
Gail Rebuck, chair of Penguin Random House, U.K., will receive the London Book Fair Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 on April 12 at London's Conference Centre.
Under her leadership as chair and chief executive of Random House U.K. for over 20 years, the publishing house saw international and U.K. bestsellers as well as a successful author list that included 32 Nobel Prize-winners, 18 Booker Prize-winners, and more than 100 Pulitzer Prize-winners.
Today, Rebuck serves as chair of Penguin Random House U.K., and she also provides an important voice speaking on behalf of arts, culture and education in the House of Lords.
The LBF Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes extraordinary contributions to the sphere of global publishing, is given annually to publishers, agents, editors, scouts, and anyone else involved in international publishing.
