Marilynne Robinson to Receive Library of Congress Prize

The 2016 Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction is going to Marilynne Robinson during the Library of Congress National Book Festival on September 24. The author of novels such as Gilead and Home was chosen by acting librarian of Congress David S. Mao.

The annual Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction honors an American literary writer whose body of work is distinguished not only for its mastery of the art but also for its originality of thought and imagination. Previous winners of the prize include Louise Erdrich (2015), E. L. Doctorow (2014), and more.
