Best Translated Book Awards Longlist Announced

Three Percent, a resource for international literature at the University of Rochester, has announced the longlists for this year’s Best Translated Book Awards for fiction and poetry, which include authors from Italy's Elena Ferrante to China's Liu Xia. The series, which launched in 2007, aims to highlight exceptional works of international literature published in the U.S. the previous year. 

Finalists will be named on Tuesday, April 19, and winners will be revealed the evening of Wednesday, May 4. Each winning author and translator will receive $5,000 in prize money provided by the Amazon Literary Partnership.
