L.A. Times Book Prize Winners Announced

The 2015 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes were awarded on April 9. James Patterson received the Innovator’s Award for his support of "libraries, independent bookstores, booksellers, teachers, and students," in addition to his own writing. Juan Felipe Herrera won the Robert Kirsch Award, which recognizes an author whose works focus on the American West. 

Valeria Luiselli and her translator, Christina MacSweeney, won the fiction prize for 'The Story of My Teeth' (Coffee House Press), and poet Jorie Graham received the poetry award for her collection 'From the New World: Poems 1976-2014' (Ecco/HarperCollins).
