Ariane Fasquelle, head of foreign acquisitions with French Publisher Grasset & Fasquelle, passed away on April 19. The daughter of Jean-Claude Fasquelle and the great-granddaughter of the founder of Éditions Fasquelle, she was the French editor of a number of acclaimed international authors, including Isabel Allende, T.C. Boyle, Umberto Eco and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
