B&H, Tyndale Win Big at Christian Book Awards
The 2016 Christian Book Awards took place on May 3 during the ECPA Leadership Summit in Nashville, Tenn. The night’s top award, the Christian Book of the year, went to B&H author Priscilla Shirer for Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer. The book accompanied the 2015 film War Room, which earned over $70 million in box offices worldwide.
Also for B&H, Shelia Walsh won the Children’s award for The Bible is My Best Friend- Family Devotional. The title, illustrated by Sarah Horne, features 52 devotions inspired by messages in the Bible.
Tying with B&H for two wins, Tyndale took home the Inspiration award for Ann Voskamp's Unwrapping the Greatest Gift, an advent devotional based on Voskamp’s bestselling book about Jesus Christ, The Greatest Gift. The publisher also claimed the Bibles category with the Illustrated Study Bible NLT.
