Small Press Expo 2016 Announces Guests, Programming Schedule
The Small Press Expo, an annual festival of independent and self-published comics and graphic novels held September 17-18 in Bethesda Md., has announced its programming schedule for the 2016 event.
This year’s SPX will feature programming that includes special guests, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell, cowriter and artist of John Lewis’s March graphic memoir; acclaimed cartoonist Joe Sacco will discuss comics journalism with Sarah Glidden (Rolling Blackouts) and Fantagraphics publisher Gary Groth will discuss Fantagraphics’ 40 year anniversary and the house’s impact on American comics.

Other special guests announced for SPX 2016 include Daniel Clowes, Carol Tylor, Lisa Hanawalt, Sophie Goldstein, Ed Piskor, and Trina Robbins among others. International guests include Cyril Pedrosa, Tom Gauld, Roger Langridge, Pascal Girard and David Rubin among others.
