Kent, who had been president and publisher of the old Random House of Canada, has been appointed to the same positions in the new company. He will be responsible for the implementation of the company's Canadian publishing program and, in addition to overseeing the existing Random imprints, will now also be in charge of Doubleday Canada and Seal Books. Kent will report to Neale.
Neale will also chair a newly created RH of Canada executive committee; other members include Kent, Louise Dennys, Brad Martin and Doug Foot. Under the new management structure, Dennys has been named executive v-p of Random of Canada and publisher of Knopf Canada. She will report to Kent. Martin has been appointed executive v-p, director of sales and marketing for the publisher, while Foot has been named executive v-p and chief operating officer. Martin and Foot will report to Neale.
