Marcel Dekker, publisher of scientific, technical and medical texts, announced last week that it will partner with e-book provider netLibrary to offer some 500 titles covering medicine, life science, engineering, chemistry, mathematics and library and information science, in electronic form via the Internet.
According to COO David Dekker, the books will be available both directly to consumers at netLibrary's Web site, www. netLibrary.com, and through hundreds of public and institutional libraries connected to netLibrary's network.
NetLibrary allows readers to search for, borrow, purchase or download e-books. Readers can make notes and highlight text.
"Researchers want information that's easy to search and use," Dekker said, "and with netLibrary, readers are getting the easiest way to use our material."
