Harcourt General has restructured its Harcourt Inc. publishing subsidiary, creating a fourth operating group. Under the reorganization, Harcourt has divided its education groups into two units--K-12 Education and Higher Education--and renamed its Lifelong Learning & Assessment Group the Corporate and Professional Services Group. The Worldwide Scientific, Technical and Medical Group remains intact.
As part of the realignment, the trade division is a member of the K-12 Education Group; the group's president, Dan Farley, reports to Tony Lucki, who was named to head the new unit. Lucki had been president of Harcourt School Publishers. In another new appointment, William Talkington has been named president of the Higher Education Group; he had led Holt, Rinehart & Winston. Harcourt is currently looking for successors to fill Lucki and Talkington's old roles. John Dilworth continues as president of the Corporate and Professional Services Group, while Peter H nisberg remains president of Worldwide STM. All four group presidents report to Jim Levy, president of Harcourt Inc.
