Tingley Gets LB Imprint -- 12/13/99 Megan Tingley, who joined Little, Brown's children's book department in 1987 and is currently executive editor, has been given her own imprint, Megan Tingley Books. Tingley's first list will debut in fall 2000 with five titles, and she expects to publish between 10 and 15 titles annually. According to Little, Brown, most of Tingley's authors, as well as the books she is associated with, will be joining her imprint. Among Tingley's most recent successful acquisitions was the 1998 bestseller Look-Alikes by Joan Steiner; the sequel, Look-Alikes Jr., was released this fall, and Look-Alikes Christmas will be Tingley's lead title for fall 2001. Tingley also launched a program of books illustrated by Todd Parr; other titles she has published include Just Like a Baby by Rebecca Bond; This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie, illustrated by Kathy Jakobsen; and The Teenage Guy's Survival Guide by Jeremy Daldry. Tingley will report to John Keller, publisher of children's books at Little, Brown. |
