McKee Retires from AAP
-- 1/3/00

Tom McKee, who joined the Association of American Publishers in 1973 and most recently served as executive vice-president, retired December 31. McKee's financial duties are being assumed by Tony LaForgia, AAP's manager of financial administration, who recently joined the association following the retirement of controller Bob Shields. Katie Blough, who oversees the Get Caught Reading campaign and served as a member of the AAP's school division, will take on McKee's other administrative responsibilities. LaForgia and Blough are based in New York.

McKee plans to become involved with advising nonprofit organizations and may do some consulting. He can be reached at (203) 438-3671.

In AAP's Washington office, Stephen Driesler, a lawyer specializing in government affairs and public policy advocacy, has been named executive director of the school division.
