It's March, so it must be Small Press Month, highlighted by the Small Press Fair, an annual gathering and exhibition of independent publishers held at the Small Press Center in Manhattan on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25.
The fair will offer demonstrations, panels and readings by noted small press authors. In addition, the annual Poor Richard's Award will be presented to Bill Henderson, founder and publisher of Pushcart Press, for his outstanding contribution to publishing. On Saturday, Henderson will lead a panel discussion, "Twenty-Five Years of the Best of Small Presses." Other panels include "First Amendment Book Publishing" and "Meet the Publishers."
