There's a new publisher on our weekly charts: Triumph Books. The Chicago house is making its first run on the national lists with Dale Earnhardt: Remembering the Intimidator. The publisher did have a one-week stint on the New York Times list about three years ago, when it tied for #15 with Chicago Bulls: Portrait of an Era, a book Triumph helped develop and then distributed for one-book publisher Tango Press. The Earnhardt bestseller, edited by the Triumph staff, is heavily illustrated, with about 25% text. A second printing of 50,000 makes for 280,000 copies in print (see story on page 15 for more details). Triumph will soon publish a second book on the late race-car driver, a 144-page hardcover commemorative due to ship April 6 with a first printing set at 60,000.
