Marc Jaffe, who joined Rodale in January as v-p of licensing and business affairs, has been promoted to senior v-p and managing director of Rodale general books and licensing. In his new role, Jaffe will continue to direct the company's licensing efforts and will also be responsible for Rodale's direct-mail and trade books that do not fall under the Men's Health, Organic Living, Sports & Fitness or Women's Health groups.
Rodale president Steve Murphy said Jaffe's appointment "reflects our continuing commitment to building [the general books] part of our business." Reporting to Jaffe will be Amy Rhodes, newly named v-p and publisher of trade books, as well as Neil Wertheimer, v-p and publisher of direct books, and Stephanie Tade, executive editor of Rodale trade books. Jaffe will report to Murphy.
