Bruce Wilkinson's phenomenally bestselling The Prayer of Jabez is also giving flight to his second Multnomah title, Secrets of the Vine, which is #10 on our hardcover list this week and looks poised for upward movement. Jabez is currently the fastest-selling bestseller in the country, and its hold atop the national bestseller charts seems immovable. During the week ending May 19, the book sold more than 35,000 copies at Barnes & Noble alone—that's just about half of total sales in its first four months on sale. Total in print for the April 2000 title is 6,875,000; a new printing, to be ready by June 20, will take that figure to a whopping 8.1 million. Secrets of the Vine, published April 2, is also racking up amazing numbers: there are now 1.95 million copies in print; back-to-press activity will bring the total to 2,125,000 by June 1.
Rutledge's I Hope You Dance by Mark D. Sanders and Tia Sillers is #4 on PW's monthly religion bestseller list and #16 on our general hardcover list. That book takes its inspiration from the award-winning song of the same name. Recorded by Lee Ann Womack, it won Song of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and received a Grammy for Country Song of the Year. Total copies in print: 275,000.
