Debra Dorfman has been named president and publisher of Grosset & Dunlap, an imprint of Penguin Putnam Books for Young Readers division. Dorfman succeeds Vivian Antonageli who was named to the post last November (News, Nov. 13, 2000), but who has resigned to pursue other interests.
Before joining Penguin, Dorfman had been at Scholastic for 12 years and most recently served as director of editorial administration for book clubs. At Penguin, Dorfman will report to Doug Whiteman, president of the young readers division.
