OverDrive, an e-publishing service and digital reseller, announced an agreement with Adobe Acrobat to provide support and distribution services for e-book titles in Adobe's Portable Document Format for the Adobe eBook Reader. OverDrive also announced a global wholesale distribution agreement with MightyWords.com, an online publisher and retailer of business and technical information, to make its library of PDF-based digital content available to retailers through Content Reserve, OverDrive's digital wholesaling unit.
Steve Potash, CEO of OverDrive, said, "We are excited that distribution, fulfillment and DRM services for Adobe eBook products are now available to our international network of publishers and retailers." Content Reserve offers digital content, DRM services and catalogue information to publishers and retailers. The company offers e-books from more than 275 publishers and services more than 100 retailers in the U.S. and around the world.
Chris MacAskill, CEO of MightyWords, said the deal would "extend our reach to the international and educational markets."
