The BEA is asking exhibiting publishers to submit names of authors for its special events programming, which includes breakfast, luncheon and evening functions. Show organizers also welcome the industry to submit content recommendations for the event's five-day education program. The upcoming convention is scheduled for May 1—5, 2002, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

Submissions for BEA's Children's Book & Author Breakfast should be directed to Molly Ker/Children's Book Council, to arrive no later than September 28, e-mail: molly.ker@cbcbooks.org.

Application requests for all other BEA author special events should be directed to Tina Jordan at BEA by e-mail at tjordan@reedexpo.com, with a submission deadline of November 21, 2001.

Educational programming recommendations should be directed to Mark Dressler at BEA by e-mail at md@traverse.com, with a submission deadline of December 1, 2001.
