After more than 10 years since his last American publication, legendary Italian comics artist Lorenzo Mattoti, known for his use of color and his expressive drawing style, will publish a new adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in November.
The story is adapted for the graphic novel by writer Jerry Kramsky, and Terry Nantier, publisher of NBM, said the story is a kind of "psycho-thriller exploring the nature of good and evil. The adaptation is lustier than the original, but faithful to the story."
Nantier is also excited about Sundiata, coming in December from comics master Will Eisner. The book is an "African tale of greed and its consequences," said Nantier, who noted that the book was produced with African-American readers in mind.
