This week's second nonfiction newcomer, Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty over Liberalism, is the first book by Sean Hannity, host of ABC Radio's The Sean Hannity Show and co-host of Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes. Among the usual publicity suspects for this Regan Books title (pub date: August 20) are Good Morning America, The Early Show, The 700 Club and On the Record with Greta van Susteren; the author also did radio and TV satellite tours for ABC and Fox, respectively. Some dozen book events—in New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle, Salt Lake City and more—took place during the book's first week on sale, and Hannity's been doing his own radio and TV shows from the road, even including a few "combination" broadcasts and book signings. More than 1,000 fans bought 600+ books at a D.C. Border's broadcast, while a five-hour signing in Atlanta sold out of its 850 copies. Copies in print after eight trips back to press: 316,000.
