Stuart Kaplan, founder and chairman of U.S. Games, Inc., has recruited a new executive team "to fully explore all our growth opportunities." Heading the new management staff is Sally Hertz, most recently senior v-p of sales and marketing at Prentice Hall Press, who has been named president and chief operating officer.
Joining Hertz at U.S. Games are two other former Prentice Hall Press executives, Judy Sjo-Gaber and Yvette Romero. Sjo-Gaber has been named v-p of sales and will be responsible for national account sales as well as overseeing the company's independent sales groups. Romero has been named v-p of marketing. Sjo-Gaber and Romero will report to Hertz.
Based in Stamford, Conn., U.S. Games is best known for publishing tarot cards in a variety of formats, as well as books about tarot. In all, the company has more than 400 proprietary products that include specialty playing cards, informational card decks and games, and educational games.
