Christine McNamara, who has been publisher of Random House Audio for the past eight months, will now take on the new title of v-p, director of sales for Random House Information Group, Adult Audio, Value and Large Print divisions. David Naggar, president of Random House Audio and Random House Diversified Publishing, noted that the shift temporarily leaves him with a gap in his staff and will require that he take on more of the day-to-day responsibilities of the audio division. "It leaves me with a hole to fill in these next few months," he said, adding that he will first look internally for McNamara's successor.
McNamara's appointment makes her one of five "imprint sales directors" named as part of the unification of the RH sales force (News, June 16). The sales directors will work with one or two RH publishing groups, helping publishing teams develop goals and priorities for each list and helping to implement the priorities across all sales channels. The other four imprint sales directors reporting to Madeline McIntosh, senior v-p, director of sales for the Random House adult sales force, are Candice Chaplin, Bantam, Dell and Doubleday Broadway; Janet Cooke, Random House; Joy Dallanegra-Sanger, Knopf; and Doug Jones, Crown and Shambhala.
