The "very robust" sales of Brit author Jane Green's Bookends, Broadway Books publicity director David Drake told PW, "indicate to us that she is now firmly established at the top of the chick-lit category." He added that the current trade paperback edition, published on May 27, has performed particularly well at the chains and at Target stores, and is selling "considerably faster" than the author's previous paperback, last year's Mr. Maybe (copies in print: 200,000). Following two trips back to press, Bookends has 170,000 copies in print.
