According to Time magazine, he's "the funniest writer still open for business"; the Washington Post called him "a storytelling genius." That would be Garrison Keillor, whose Love Me hits PW's fiction list at #11. Published by Viking on August 18 (copies in print: 133,500), Keillor's latest is his 13th book and his first non-Wobegon fiction title since 1993's The Book of Guys. (His last two Lake Wobegon books, Wobegon Boy and Lake Wobegon Summer 1956, spent a total of 11 weeks on our charts.) The funnyman/raconteur is currently on a 16-city junket—dubbed the "Rhubarb Tour"—with Prairie Home Companion (the popular NPR show is in its 27th season), and books are being sold at most of the tour stops. He'll also be embarking on a 13-city book tour on September 6, which will continue throughout the fall. Major media hits have included an AP feature, along with radio interviews on Fresh Air and To the Best of Our Knowledge.
