According to the folks at Delacorte, Christopher Reich's fourth financial thriller, The Devil's Banker, "goes straight to today's headlines to explore the money trail of terrorism." Publicity for the timely tome kicked off with an August 27 appearance by Reich on CBS-TV's The Early Show; bookstore events in San Francisco and San Diego (Reich is a California resident) are also on the author's agenda. The hardcover and mass market editions of Reich's 1998 suspense yarn, Numbered Account, spent a total of 15 weeks on PW's charts. Published on August 26, The Devil's Banker has nearly 60,000 copies in print after two printings.
