Changes in Sterling Publishing's marketing department have resulted in the appointment of Chris Vaccari as director of library and special marketing, a newly created post, and the addition of Leigh Ann Ambrosi to fill Vaccari's old position as Sterling's publicity director. Ambrosi, who will join Sterling January 5, has been publicity director at Clarkson Potter. Vaccari and Ambrosi will report to Ronni Stolzenberg, Sterling's marketing director. Andrew Martin, v-p and publisher at Sterling, said the changes are being made "to provide a more aggressive approach to the marketing and promotion of our books."
Vaccari will be responsible for all library and institutional marketing efforts as well as for Sterling's online marketing program. Ambrosi's appointment coincides with Sterling's expanded efforts in the illustrated books segment. Martin noted that with Ambrosi's strong background in publicizing illustrated titles, she "will help change the shape and scope of publicity campaigns for the house."

Haber joined Rodale as editor-at-large December 1, and reports to Tami Booth, v-p and editor-in-chief of Women's Health Books. Haber, who will acquire and edit general nonfiction, most recently was executive editor at Hyperion, where she edited such authors as Steve Martin, Candace Bushnell and Peter Jennings.
