National Book Network has added five new people to its sales and marketing operations, including Michele Crim, who has been appointed senior director of marketing. Crim, who had been director of marketing at PGW, will remain in the San Francisco Bay Area and assume some of the duties that had been performed by the late Miriam Bass.
NBN has also added three new sales reps, bringing its sales force up to 38. Ed Lyons has joined the company as ID manager, with responsibility for selling to PXs, airport gift shops, drugstores and grocery stores, while Justin Wolfe and Mark McElhinney have been hired to call on independent bookstores in the Midwest. Eric Stragar, formerly with Olsson's Books, has joined the distributor as sales analyst.
