D.A.P./Distributed Art Publishers Inc. moved its warehousing and order fulfillment services to SourceOne in Cranbury, N.J., at the beginning of July. "Our goal," says Kenny Cummings, D.A.P.'s operations director, "is to be the best in the business with reliability, packaging and turnaround." With the new facilities, D.A.P. expects to be able to get orders out within 24 hours. Other services will eventually include Web-based online ordering for bookstores and online account management for client publishers. The new D.A.P. Greenleaf Book Group LLC, which specializes in distribution for small and independent presses, relocated its corporate office from Ohio to Austin, Tex., and added another 50,000 square feet of warehouse space to its facility in Cleveland. "Our business is up 70% over last year," founder Clint Greenleaf told PW. "We hit our revenue goals for 2004 at the end of May. Our top line and our bottom line are way up." Submissions are also up, although the company's acceptance rate is about 5%. It currently represents 160 clients with 350 titles.
