Dearborn Trade Publishing has announced that it will partner with Duke Corporate Education, a custom executive education provider affiliated with Duke University, in launching a business management series. The first three titles in the series, to be called Leading from the Center, will be published in June 2005; Dearborn and Duke CE plan to collaborate on two titles per season beginning in fall 2005. Dearborn Trade publishes approximately 60 titles per year and anticipates 10% growth in the number of releases each year.
Dearborn Trade publisher Cynthia Zigmund said the series will provide executives who are unable to attend a Duke seminar access to the programs. "It's also a great way of developing our list," Zigmund added. "People still want books that are more in depth, but they're busy. We want to address both demands. If someone wants a short book that will both quickly educate and entertain, they can use this series. If they want longer, more in-depth books, they can use any of our other titles."
