The documentary filmmaker and author
Michael Moore has signed with Simon & Schuster to do two more books before the end of this year: a collection of letters he received from American troops in Iraq after his visit there to make his hit movie Fahrenheit 9/11, and a book to accompany the DVD release of the film, with the full script and some extra material not included in the theatrical release. The deal was made between S&S publisher
David Rosenthal and
Mort Janklow at Janklow & Nesbit. The book of letters, called
Will They Ever Trust Us Again? will be published in November, and will consist of letters sent to Moore by the GIs, many of them via his Web site, along with his commentary on them. The film book,
The Official Fahrenheit 9/11 Reader, will appear around the same time, in trade paper.
