VNU Business Publications, through its Hollywood Reporter magazine division, has acquired Lone Eagle Publishing and the Hollywood Creative Directory. The two units were acquired from IFILM Corp., which bought the publishers in late 2000.
Lone Eagle publishes five to six books annually in the performing arts segment and has a backlist of about 50 titles. HCD publishes five Hollywood directories. Sales to the trade are conducted through National Book Network. Jeff Black, former head of IFILM's publishing unit, has moved to Hollywood Reporter as v-p for information services and will continue to oversee Lone Eagle and HCD, and the group's 10-person staff has moved to the magazine's Los Angeles offices.
