The election over, BEA will turn its focus away from political authors and back to literary writers. This year's adult breakfasts will feature Paul Theroux, Myla Goldberg and Mike Wallace on Saturday, and Umberto Eco, Barbara Ehrenreich and John Irving on Sunday. Saturday's luncheon guests will be Nick Hornby, Simon Winchester, Michael Cunningham and Doris Kearns Godwin.
Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), Alice Provensen and Pam Muñoz Ryan are the speakers at Friday's children's breakfast, moderated by Jim Dale.
Politics will be in the air, however, at the annual fundraiser for ABFEE, featuring Bill Maher as the host. And Al Franken could get off some political shots when he hosts ABA's Celebration of Reading event. BEA takes place in NYC June 3—5.
